Macfarlane, John Ibbotson Buchanan, 1928-2008, of  St. Adolphe d’Howard, formerly of Montreal. 

It is with great sadness that we announce John’s peaceful death , Saturday August 30th 2008.   He will be greatly missed by his loved bride of fifty-five years, Joan Wright, and his three children Lin (Linda), Mary and James.  He was the adored Papa of Sarah (Sass) May and her husband Steven, James and William Macfarlane and their mother Charline.  John was the former Commanding Officer of 3RHC Black Watch Regiment Of Canada, longtime member of the 48th Highlanders and Regimental Commandant of the 78th Fraser Highlanders, Past President of the St. Andrews Society.  He will be missed by his many friends at LGCC, RUMPS, RMCC and the Country Club (Brookline, MA).  The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at the Ste. Agathe hospital, with special thanks to Barbara for her kindness.  Flowers gratefully declined.  Donations if desired to the Fondation Medicale des Laurentides, 1067 rue Principale, Ste.
