The 78th Fraser Highlanders

Commemorate the 256th Anniversary of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham

Saturday, 12 September 2015 –
Before the Regimental Highland Dinner, the Regiment will fall in at the front of the Union Club of British Columbia. Led by the Pipes and Drums and Guard of the Fort Victoria Garrison, with Regimental Colours flying, the Regiment will march down Government Street to opposite the entrance to the Fairmont Empress Hotel, to the statute of Captain James Cook.

In commemoration of Captain James Cook's involvement and assistance to the British, including the 78th Fraser Highlanders, at the Battle of the Plains of Abraham the Regiment will lay a wreath at the statue.

The Regiment will then march back to the Union Club, for the reception before Dinner. It is hoped that as many uniforms as possible will be worn for this event.

At the reception there will be a Change of Command ceremony, changing the Colonel Commandant from Colonel Robert G. Darling to Colonel Stuart K. Anderson.
